Focus and Scope
Teknopi is a peer-reviewed scientific journal on educational technology and learning innovation, published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Muhammadiyah University of Lampung. This journal is dedicated to advancing educational science by providing a platform for rigorous scientific exchange, fostering critical dialogue, and promoting the development of theoretical and empirical knowledge among researchers, particularly in Indonesia and the wider international community.
Teknopi accepts high-quality contributions in all areas of education. In addition to serving as a national scientific platform, Teknopi strives to establish itself as an international forum for academic inquiry, fostering interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives that enrich understanding of education. The journal supports a variety of research approaches, including experimental, observational, survey-based, and ethnographic studies, with a particular emphasis on innovative and integrative work.
The target audience for the Teknopi journal includes academics, researchers, graduate students, practitioners, and professionals interested in the scientific dimensions of educational technology and learning innovation. Through its publications, the journal aims to stimulate research productivity, facilitate academic collaboration, and contribute to the continuing professional development of the education community.Section Policies

Peer Review Process
Teknopi: Journal of Educational Technology and Learning Innovation is a journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of the University of Muhammadiyah Lampung. Research articles submitted to the Teknopi open journal system will be peer-reviewed upon submission. Accepted articles will be available online after the journal's peer-review process. The language used in this journal is Indonesian. For plagiarism checking, Teknopi editors will check the title, abstract, and content of the article for plagiarism. By using several plagiarism detection software (Turnitin), prevention of publication violations is implemented. Under certain conditions with strong evidence, if an article is found to contain indications of plagiarism, the editorial board will automatically reject the article.
All papers are fully peer-reviewed. We only publish articles that have been reviewed and approved by highly qualified researchers with expertise in a field appropriate for the article. We used a double-blind peer-reviewing process. Detailed information about the flow for the manuscript submission (author) to the acceptance by the editor is shown in the following figure:

Publication Frequency
TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation is published two times a year on a July and December. Articles can be submitted at any time.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Archiving
Digital Archiving Policy
TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation utilizes the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which supports the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure the secure, distributed, and long-term preservation of published content.
The journal participates in the PKP Private LOCKSS Network (PKP PLN), which provides decentralized preservation of digital content across multiple geographically distributed nodes. This system guarantees permanent access and safeguards the journal’s content against data loss.
All published articles are automatically preserved through the PKP PLN, provided that the journal meets the eligibility criteria, including having a valid ISSN and published content. Once the PKP PLN plugin is enabled and the Terms of Use are accepted, no additional action is required for ongoing preservation.
In addition, the journal supports long-term accessibility through:
- DOI registration via Crossref, ensuring persistent and reliable access to published articles
- Indexing in recognized scholarly databases to enhance discoverability and redundancy
The journal may also participate in other LOCKSS-compatible archiving networks where applicable. Inclusion in such networks requires coordination with the respective network administrators.
Through these mechanisms, TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of its scholarly content.
Publication Ethics
TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation adheres to the ethical guidelines in all aspects of publication ethics, particularly those concerning best practices in scholarly publishing and the handling of publication misconduct. The journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior for authors, editors, and reviewers.
Authors’ Responsibilities
Authors submitting manuscripts to TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation must comply with the following ethical standards:
- Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere. No rights to the manuscript should have been transferred to another party.
- Authors must guarantee the authenticity and originality of their work and properly cite all sources using the journal’s required referencing style (APA format).
- Authors must avoid all forms of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.
- Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or publication. Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is considered unethical and unacceptable.
- Authors must be able to provide raw data and supporting materials if requested by the editor, particularly in cases of suspected data fabrication or falsification.
- Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest, including but not limited to employment relationships, research funding, consultancy roles, or intellectual property interests that could influence the research.
- If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article.
- For research involving human participants, authors must ensure compliance with ethical standards in psychological research, including informed consent and, where applicable, approval from an institutional ethics committee.
Editors’ Responsibilities
Editors of TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation are responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of published content:
- Editors are accountable for all articles published in the journal.
- Editors should assist authors in ensuring that manuscripts comply with the journal’s guidelines and ethical standards.
- Editorial decisions should be based on the scientific merit, originality, and relevance of the manuscript, without discrimination based on nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation.
- Editors may consult with editorial board members or reviewers when making publication decisions.
- Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
- Editors must ensure a double-blind review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
- Editorial decisions must be communicated to authors in a timely manner, accompanied by reviewers’ comments, unless such comments are inappropriate or defamatory.
- Editors should respect reasonable requests from authors to exclude specific reviewers due to potential bias.
- Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
- In cases of suspected misconduct or disputes, editors will follow guidelines in investigating and resolving the issue.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities
Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal:
- Reviewers should provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based evaluations of manuscripts.
- Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate; all feedback must be supported by clear arguments.
- Reviewers should identify any ethical concerns, including possible plagiarism, data issues, or publication misconduct.
- Reviewers must complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe and notify the editor promptly if they are unable to do so.
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and not use any information for personal advantage.
- Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest, whether due to competition, collaboration, or other relationships with the authors or affiliated institutions.
- Reviewers should inform the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works known to them.
- Any information or ideas obtained through peer review must remain confidential and must not be used for personal benefit.
Ethical Compliance and Misconduct Handling
TEKNOPI: Journal of educational technology and learning innovation takes allegations of misconduct seriously. Any suspected violations—including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices—will be handled in accordance with procedures. Actions may include manuscript rejection, retraction, or notification to relevant institutions.
