Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
Copyright Notice
The authors submitting a manuscript to Indonesian Journal of Special Educational Needs (I-JOURSEN) do so with the understanding that, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, the right of first publication of the article is granted to the journal as published by its designated publisher.
Upon acceptance, authors will be requested to complete and sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA) or License Agreement, which will be provided electronically by the editorial office. Confirmation of manuscript acceptance and the copyright agreement form will be sent to the corresponding author via email.
The copyright of articles published in I-JOURSEN remains with the author(s). The journal publishes articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Under this license, authors and readers are permitted to:
Share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format)
Adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material)
for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the journal, and that any derivative works are distributed under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Publication Ethics and Misconduct
Indonesian Journal of Special Educational Needs (I-JOURSEN) is a peer-reviewed academic journal. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, the editorial board, and the publisher.
This journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of articles in I-JOURSEN contributes to the development of a credible and respected body of knowledge in the field of Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education. Peer-reviewed publications reflect the quality of research conducted by authors and supported by their institutions.
All parties involved in the publishing process are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior.
The publisher of I-JOURSEN is committed to ensuring that editorial decisions are independent and not influenced by advertising, reprint, or other commercial interests.
Allegations of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
Fabrication
Falsification
Citation manipulation
Plagiarism
When allegations of misconduct arise, the Editors and Editorial Board will follow COPE procedures to investigate the issue fairly and transparently.
Manuscripts found to contain misconduct will be rejected.
Published articles found to involve misconduct may be retracted, with a retraction notice linked to the original article.
Investigation Procedure
The investigation process includes:
Initial assessment of the allegation and potential conflicts of interest
Notification to the corresponding author for clarification and response
Evaluation of the response and, if necessary, consultation with independent experts
Editorial decision based on the findings
Institutions affiliated with the authors may be asked to conduct formal investigations when appropriate.
Screening for Plagiarism
All manuscripts submitted to I-JOURSEN are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or equivalent tools).
Manuscripts containing plagiarism or self-plagiarism will be immediately rejected.
Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism includes:
Using ideas, data, or words without proper citation
Presenting another author’s work as one’s own
Excessive similarity with previously published or submitted work
Authors must:
Cite all sources appropriately
Use quotation marks for verbatim text
Credit original ideas, even when paraphrased
Violation of plagiarism standards may result in rejection, retraction, or other corrective actions.

Indonesian Journal of Special Educational Needs (I-JOURSEN) takes academic integrity seriously. The editorial team reserves the right to withdraw acceptance or retract articles that violate ethical standards.
