Analisa Penggunaan Dioda Reverse Bias Pada Kontraktor PMS PT.PLN (PERSERO) Gardu Induk Martapura

Abstract
The diode is a component that plays an important role in the world of electronics, its function as a rectifier has played a large role in the development of electricity. Departing from these problems, the author wants to analyze the use of diodes in PMS contactors. In this paper the author will analyze the use of reverse biased diodes on PMS contactors owned by PT. PLN (Persero) Martapura Substation.
The use of a reverse bias diode in the PMS contactor aims to minimize the damage that occurs to the contactor when operating during a blackout. The author will make a reverse bias diode design using the Electronics Workbench application. In addition, the application will be used for design simulations that have been made. The design in the form of a simulation will be practiced in physical form so that it can be tested on its function.The test is carried out by comparing the self-induction voltage when the contactor uses a reverse bias diode and when it is not used. To produce a self-induction voltage, there is a certain time span which will be the parameter in the test. After collecting the data, an analysis will be carried out in this test. Based on the data obtained, the authors state that by using a reverse biased diode, the self-induction voltage is more stable, there are no voltage spikes.
