Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Turnitin software.

The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript.

Final decision of articles acceptance will be made by Editors according to reviewers comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as thematic issue.

 

Publication Frequency

SYIRKAH: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah is a triannual journal published in three issues each year, covering the following publication periods: January–April, May–August, and September–December.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published periodically as a medium for disseminating research findings, conceptual studies, and scholarly works in the field of Islamic economics and finance. This statement outlines the ethical standards expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and the publisher.

The publication ethics of Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and are intended to ensure the integrity, transparency, and quality of scholarly publications.

Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of articles in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential contribution to the development of scientific knowledge and academic integrity. Published articles reflect the quality of research conducted by authors and the institutions supporting them. Therefore, ethical standards must be upheld by all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.

The Publisher of Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards throughout the editorial and publication process. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial interests, advertising, sponsorship, or other financial considerations.

Duties of Editors

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board are responsible for deciding which manuscripts submitted to the journal should be published. Decisions are based on the manuscript's originality, scholarly significance, methodological rigor, and relevance to the scope of the journal. Editorial decisions shall comply with applicable legal requirements concerning copyright infringement, plagiarism, and libel. Editors may consult reviewers or other editorial board members when necessary.

Fair Play

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual merit without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation of the authors.

Confidentiality

Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information regarding a manuscript except to the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, or the publisher as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Editors shall not use unpublished information disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research or personal advantage without the explicit written consent of the authors. Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and provide constructive feedback that helps authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.

Promptness

Reviewers who consider themselves unqualified to review a manuscript or who are unable to complete the review within the requested timeframe should promptly notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.

Confidentiality

Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and should not be shared or discussed with others without authorization from the editor.

Standards of Objectivity

Reviews should be conducted objectively and professionally. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, well-supported, and constructive comments.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and notify the editor of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published works known to them.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Information or ideas obtained through peer review must remain confidential and must not be used for personal benefit. Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist due to competitive, collaborative, financial, or institutional relationships with the authors or related organizations.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards

Authors must present an accurate, honest, and objective account of their research. Sufficient details and references should be provided to enable replication of the study. Fabrication, falsification, or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are entirely original. Any use of the work, ideas, or words of others must be appropriately cited or quoted in accordance with academic standards.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication

Authors should not submit or publish substantially the same research in more than one journal or publication simultaneously. Concurrent submission of identical or substantially similar manuscripts is considered unethical publishing practice.

Acknowledgement of Sources

Authors must properly acknowledge all sources that have significantly influenced their research and cite relevant literature appropriately.

Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the study. All contributors meeting these criteria should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and consented to its submission.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the interpretation or outcomes of their research. All sources of research funding and financial support should be clearly acknowledged.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in a published article, the author has an obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

Publisher's Responsibilities

The Publisher of Syirkah: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah is committed to supporting editors and reviewers in maintaining the integrity of the academic record. The publisher ensures that editorial independence is preserved and that all allegations of publication misconduct—including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices—are investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines. Appropriate corrective actions, including corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, will be taken when necessary.

 

 

Policy of Plagiarism

SYIRKAH: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah upholds strict academic integrity and only publishes original scholarly works. Every submitted manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts containing significant plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or improper citation practices will be rejected or returned for revision. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal reserves the right to retract the article in accordance with established publication ethics. Authors bear full responsibility for the originality and proper citation of their work.

Article Publication Fee

SYIRKAH: Jurnal Ekonomi Syariah currently does not charge any article publication fee. All accepted articles are published free of charge. The journal is committed to supporting the dissemination of scholarly research in Islamic economics without financial barriers for authors.
